Cork. Cork is a new option for flooring. It is made of organic renewable ingredients. This one is great if you want to make a warm atmosphere. It does not accrue dust, so it’s ideal for people with allergies.

One solution is to use water-based plants because the main solvent is water. How can you know what environmentally friendly painting is? Easy. Check the VOCs. The best way is that the VOC is zero. So, the lower VOC is better. 

You can also find other organic paints in the market. They are made of plant oils, milk, water, plants, or some essential oils.

You can make  eco friendly house by choosing furniture made of earth-friendly materials. Popular natural materials for furniture are bamboo, seagrass, and rattan. Other popular materials for eco friendly furniture are recycled textiles, salvaged wood, and reused materials. When you want to buy a couch, sofa or bed, choose cotton, linen, hemp, or jute.

You can make your kitchen green with many ideas. Start with environmentally friendly flooring and paints. Choose recycled materials for your cabinets. Eco friendly cabinets are made of natural or recycled materials such as bamboo, reclaimed or salvaged hardwood, lyptus. They are also built with non-toxic glues and finishes. 

The next step is to change the countertops. You can choose countertops made of reclaimed hardwood, recycled glass, or even quartz. 

Buy eco friendly utensils and cookware. Bamboo bowls look so pretty and they are eco friendly products. If your budget allows it, buy an eco friendly refrigerator and a sustainable dishwasher. It will save money for the bills too. With a sustainable dishwasher, you will use less water.

Use bins for recycling

Recycle bins are a must-have in every home. This step is very important for taking care of our planet and saving the environment. The easiest way is to buy a multi-compartment recycle bin. With this kind of bin, you will easily separate waste. Using biodegradable trash bags is another benefit for making the home green and saving the environment. 

Use one container or bin for recycling clothes and shoes. When you have old clothes or shoes, donate them or recycle them.
